Abstract: Sense of Coherence is an important factor in managing stress. This study aimed to assess the sense of coherence of nurses at Lampang Hospital. The total population consisted of 255 nurses working as staff nurses and nurse administrators in the inpatient department. Research instruments included The Sense of Coherence developed by Antonovsky (1987) and translated by Somchit Hanuchareonkul (2532). The Cronbach 's alpha coefficient of the questionnaire was .82. Data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results revealed that: 1. The overall level of sense of coherence among staff nurses was at a high level (x̅ = 147.37, SD = 21.76). The levels of each subscale were as follows: comprehensibility was at a moderate level (x̅ = 48.51, SD = 7.98), and manageability and meaningfulness were at a high level (x̅= 51.65, SD =8.15 and x̅ = 47.21, SD = 7.84, respectively). 2. The overall level of sense of coherence among nurse administrators was at a high level (x̅= 164.22, SD = 16.33) . The levels of each subscale were as follows: comprehensibility, manageability, and meaningfulness were at a high level ( x̅ = 53.91, SD = 6.68; x̅ = 56.97, SD = 5.81 ; and x̅ = 53.34, SD = 5.99 respectively). The results of this study can be used as basic data to improve and enhance sense of coherence of nurses for appropriately dealing with problems
